Etymologically the word Asta Brata came from Sanskrit language. Asta means eight, Brata means behavior or guidance. Asta Brata means eight natural elements that symbolize the leadership character.
As the earth, a leader must be generous and strong. A leader must be all giving for his followers; be a place for them to lean on.
As the Sun gives energy to every living being on this planet, a leader should be a constant source of motivation for his followers. An uninterrupted flow of consistent energy will unconsciously propel followers to achieve the leader’s vision.

Like the calm and resplendent moon in the dark, A leader should be someone who can light the path for his followers. He must be the hope when required, a friendly person who is a respite for his followers in trouble.
Just as the air cannot be seen but its presence is felt everywhere, A leader must be someone who can be felt by his follower irrespective of his physical presence through his policies, decisions and actions.
